The Southern Rhone focuses on the Grenache grape plus many others. Chateauneuf du Pape allows 13 different varietals and can be either fabulous or flooded. One thing that is consistent is the minimum alcohol required by AOC standards is the highest in all of France. Salute!

Quite frankly these are most impressive wines simply because of the labor involved in producing fine wine in these regions.Sometimes we descibe them with the dreadful sweet adjective, yet when chosen properly the wines exhibit flowers and stone fruits, pairing deliciously with many foods. (Both a chef’s and a wino’s dream.) Quality is based on ripeness therefore; we have chosen to classify our selections in the same manner. Don’t be shy!
